Family drawing class
In the family drawing class, children learn to make drawings together with parents. Knowledge or experience is not needed. As a team, you will make decorative works, and strengthen an intuitive and playful connection. You will learn to make shapes, how to use colors, composition, creativity, and abstract thinking, but also patience and concentration.
The aim is not to make you draw realistic, like portraits, landscapes or still lives, but to go with the flow, use intuition and imagination. Simply by reacting to each other. The outcome can never be wrong. The works will be made with color markers on paper. In the end, you can take home a beautiful decorative collective work.

Student work
Liza Lin
Liza Lin (1975) is from Shanghai and the founder of Poetic Ink. She is an experienced artist, painting and calligraphy teacher living in the Netherlands and a member of the art society Haagse Kunstkring in The Hague.
Liza is educated at the Shanghai University - College of Fine Arts. Her father, Lin Shen Long, also educated her in her early years. He studied for many years with three of the most famous painters and calligraphers in Shanghai from the 1970s onwards: Cao Jianlou, Cao Yongping, and Qiu Shouchen. She visited those masters at the hand of her father at a young age and still memorises their passion for the art of writing with the Chinese brush.
Liza writes and teaches various calligraphy styles. She masters the Yan style, one of the four foundation styles for learning Chinese calligraphy. This style originates from the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD).
